We grow with you, our community. Welcome to OE Lakeside.
In 2007, Opportunity Enterprises acquired OE Lakeside, a 158-acre parcel of land and water on Lake Eliza. We renovated the existing facilities and moved 100 clients from our work center to this lush, natural setting, nestled between oaks and maples on the shore of a peaceful lake.
Now, it’s time for us to expand this facility. As our community grows, we have to grow with it. Did you know that in the State of Indiana, there are more than 19,500 individuals who could potentially come into services like those at Opportunity Enterprises? In Northwest Indiana alone, there are approximately 2,500 people waiting to be served. Additionally, recent studies indicate that the prevalence of autism spectrum disorders in American children has risen to 1% of the population.
As a forward-thinking organization, Opportunity Enterprises will continue to grow and serve people with challenges and disabilities for the generations to come. We are literally bursting at the seams. As we look to the future, trends indicate that the demand for services will continue to grow.
